Four Rings Fest

History

Four Rings Fest 2007

The first edition of the Four Rings Fest was organised by the fans of Audi Emotion Club Bulgaria and Audi Sport Club Greece as a spontaneous international meeting of the two clubs – friends of the Ingolstadt brand – from two neighbouring countries. The event took place on May 19 and 20, 2007, in the resort of Nea Kalikratia, Greece.

During the first day, the Bulgarian and Greek fans of Audi took their first steps in getting to know each other. There was also a press conference, at which the members of the two clubs had the opportunity to find out about the activity of their partners, the names of the organisers, and the ideas for the future development of each organisation.

On Sunday, after the shared dinner and party on Saturday, the fans made a quite impressive line of cars with the four rings on their fronts towards Thessaloniki. The rainy weather failed to dampen the participants’ spirits and they gathered on the waterfront in front of one of the symbols of Thessaloniki – the White Tower. There, before the amazed stares of quite a few people, they had a photo session, chatted a bit about their cars and soon after left for their homes.

The second international meeting was held again in Greece. The spot chosen by the fans was the resort of Paralia Katerini. For the first time, the festival spanned three days – between October 10 and 12, 2008.

The first festival day passed mainly in arrivals and the accommodation of the fans from Bulgaria and all over Greece, in making new friends and looking at the cars. On Saturday, the hosts from Audi Sport Club Greece organised a trip for the line of Audis from the resort to Elatohori – a historical location just below the Mount Olympus. Lunch was held there with a lovely view of Greece’s highest peak.

On Sunday, after leaving the hotel, again a long line of cars from our favourite brand was organised, heading towards the archaeological park Dion, where the cars and the fans had their last photos for that year taken, after which the participants waved each other “bye-bye” until next year.

This meeting marked a turning point because it was then that the decision was made to turn these meetings into an annual tradition which would evolve with every passing year.

The third edition of the Audi fest for South-Eastern Europe took a fresh turn and for the first time it was held in Bulgaria between October 09 and 11. The meeting took place in the international mountain resort of Bansko. The interesting thing this time was that for the first time the Audi fans from Romania took part in it, represented by Audi Sport Club Romania. This was also the first time an invitation was sent to our friends in Turkey, but sadly they could not participate.

Friday passed in the already familiar manner – arrivals and accommodation of the Audi fans. On Saturday, after the traditional press conference, a trip was organised for all card to the Katarino Hotel, located a couple of kilometres away from Bansko. There, lunch was organised for everybody. Later that evening, again at the Perun Hotel, there was a big party with a lottery and prizes and, of course, a DJ Party which helped a lot to break the ice between the participants from the different countries.

On Sunday, all fans headed in their Audis towards the foot of the Pirin Mountain, where they had a farewell photo session. This, for the present, is the last incredible presence of the Audi fans from three countries, which we will do our best to make even better in 2010.
